Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy is seeking a highly organized and motivated Temporary Fundraising Administrative Assistant to provide crucial support to our Development Team during the year-end giving campaign. This temporary role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of donor management, gift processing, and administrative functions that contribute to the success of our campaign.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Donor Database Management:
    • Update and maintain accurate donor information in the Raiser’s Edge database.
    • Ensure precise recording of donor transactions, gifts, and contributions.
  • Gift Processing:
    • Process all incoming donations with efficiency and accuracy.
    • Generate timely acknowledgment letters and receipts for donors.
  • Campaign Support:
    • Assist in the coordination of the year-end direct mail and email campaigns.
    • Support donor outreach efforts, including organizing thank-you calls and follow-up communications.
  • Event Support:
    • Help prepare materials for year-end fundraising events and virtual campaign activities.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Maintain and organize both digital and physical fundraising records.
    • Provide general administrative support to the Development Team, including data entry and scheduling.
    • Assist in special projects and other tasks as needed to meet campaign goals.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in fundraising, development, or administrative roles is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in using Raiser’s Edge database is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Discreet and professional in handling confidential information.


This is a temporary, in-person position based at the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s office at 334 Furman Street, Brooklyn. The role may require flexibility with occasional evening or weekend work during peak times of the campaign.
